Default ecoboost p0299 DTC

Has anyone gotten this code? I have gotten it five times now. I looked it up and it is a turbo underboost trouble code. My truck is tuned by Livernois but I don't know yet if I can link it to LMS. When it happens I lose all turbo use.

Please help if u have had this or know how to help. Thanks

I used to get the same code with the canned SCT tunes. I could even make it reproduce. If I just jammed the key in and turned it all in one continuous motion it would do it every time. Put the key in, hesitate, turn to detent, hesitate, start and it never does it.

It's happened with nearly every tune and tuner out. It happened to me two times in 35k tuned miles.

Do you think it damaged one of your turbos? How did and what jappened to you when it happened? Mine is fine with my unleashed 91 p/t tune but with others I can make it do it at will.

Yeah I sent anthony an email tonight so I hope to hear something this week. Is this the same thing that people describe as a shudder issue or a condensation issue or is this completely different?

No it is completely different. It is like driving with one less turbo. Lacks power all over.

Totally different when the code comes up it is detecting that you where underboost 4 to 5 psi for 5 seconds. It is readind by the throttle position and what your intake is expecting, which means either your wastegate stuck open, you have a big leak or a turbo is struggeling.

Interesting...think I might need to bring it in to the dealership then because none of those issues sound delightful

When it happens to me, I don't have either turbos whatsoever. It is just a naturally aspirated 3.5 and has no acceleration and sounds like a prius or something
