I'm in Southern AZ. 17000 miles in the odometer. Still have yet to have a problem. Constantly get 24-26 avg mpg's. I drive 60 on the highway with cruise control set. When i'm in town I drive the speed limit or a few mph's above it and again set the cruise control. Pretty much always have my green screen pegged out.
I have noticed that MPG's suffer more in the morning when the tranny isnt warmed to full operating temp. My tranny temp gauge slowly rises while I drive, and when it is about 1/4 up is when mpg's start getting better.

My 2012 Ecoboost 4x4 with just over 3000 miles is averaging 16.5 mpg according to the on board computer. Almost all city driving, short trips, very little freeway driving.

I'm approaching 1000 miles. My average is 18.5 mpg, pure commuting miles on backroads, some stop and go, driving it normally (eg. not drag racing it).
I've not yet taken an actual highway trip in it yet...too busy working.

Sadly, if you complain to Ford, they are going to go drive it 58mph and expect it to hit 20mpg. Mine will do that and yours likely will too. Problem is, in no wind, it ought to hit 21mpg at 70mph. Ought to hit 25mpg at 58 but that's beside the point.
Ford's whole approach to problem solving is to deny there's a problem.
