I'm just under 2000 miles, here is what I have been seeing.

250 mile trip, 60 mph hwy, some interstate 75 mph, city driving in Omaha NE and a few other smaller towns with stop and go, averaged 25 mpg for the entire trip.

60 miles hwy one way at 55-60 mph, half flat, half hills, only one town with a few stoplights, usually 24-26 mpg, highest was 28 mpg. (have done this trip many times 10+)

300 mile trip, 23.5 mpg heading out on interstate, tried to keep 70 mph but hit 80 a few times, and some construction slowed me down to 65 mph. On way back I did closer to 75, with some construction slowing me down again and only got 22.

Overall since the birth of the truck the trip B shows 19.2 mpg. That may sound crappy, but realize there is a lot of city driving mixed in there, many hours of idling, when I picked up the truck it showed an ave of 5 mpg due to test drives and idling with A/C on to cool it off before each drive, and I have done a bunch of burnouts and WOT runs so the realistic average would be much higher without all of that.

Considering the power while getting this mileage I am extremely happy, Ford has created a great engine and it appears to work well in the truck. I haven't pulled any trailers yet so I can't comment on that. I hope I don't see a huge drop in mileage like some are reporting.

Good numbers for a 4x4....... I am getting about the same on my 2011 scab 3.15 ratio.....
All tho I never let mine idle........ I did however the other day, when it was 102 degrees for about 15 min...... I noticed my intake manifold temp went to 135 degrees and stayed pretty hot for several miles in city driving. It didn't get down even close to ambient temp of 102 till after driving several miles of 50 mph plus.

Just finished up our vacation. Took the truck on a variety of trips. Pulled the 29 foot pull type trailer for about 300 miles and got 11miles per Imp gallon. Set the cruise at 100kph and the only hill it slowed was a very long 8% grade and it pulled down to 90kph. Prior truck was my F350 V10 and most of those hillls it was laboring to make 80kph over the top and for sure never used cruise. AND it would only get 9mpg pulling the same unit.

Took the truck on a road trip for 2500kms and average 20mpg with a trip throught the mountains to the first destination. 6 hour drive, filled up and 25mpg. Coming home drove for 10 hours from Sandpoint Idaho to Rocky mtn House, Alberta and 22mpg driving much faster keeping up with traffic especially in alberta
So very pleased with my little truck. Very comfortable and a pleasure to drive.
Thank you FORD !!!!!!

Just did a trip from central CT to Pittsburg PA. Went over the mountains in PA twice. The truck averaged 19.7 for the entire 1000+ mile trip. I Drove around Pittsburg and went through several construction patterns on the way. The cruise control set at 70 mph most of the way. Was getting around 24 on 1 section of highway while traveling 60-65. I was only averaging 19 going out to PA so I had to be getting around 20 most of the way back to get the 19.7 for the trip. Considering the elavation change of I think 1,000+ feet during the trip I was more than happy with these numbers.

With my FX4 and less then 1,000 miles I did 2 round trips of 300 miles between northern Denver and Canon City CO. Mix of interstate and highway both through mountains. By the end of the two I was at 20.5. That was driving 70 on the highway and 80 on the interstate.

This load minus the teal colored kayak, + a bicycle returned 18.5 mpg over 260 miles last week. Temperature in the 90s, 87 octane, cruise set at 57 mph.
<500 lb. in trailer. Mostly flat some light breeze.

18.5 with that super unaerodynamic set of bricks? Holy cow, what's your configuration?

I have the exact same set up as yours and would see great numbers like that before I put these Duratracs and had the truck leveled. Now I am getting about 1-1.5 worse then when I had the stock rubber and tire size. Not that I am regretting the Dura's because love them and need them for getting to places like the deer lease that is 8 miles off pavement and is a PITA to get to when the rain washed some of the roads through. It is just that the old 18.5-19.5 combined mpg was nice to have, but the 17 all around mpg now ain't too bad considering.

Default 27.88 mpg average on 1000 mile trip.

A 2011 ecoboost owner is presently testing the aerodynamic truck cap. She drove over 1000 miles last week on a trip from Conway, Arkansas to Pensacola, Florida.

She got 28.91 mpg on the trip down and 26.86 mpg on the trip back. She averaged a 70 mph driving speed. She loves the aerodynamic cap and it looks good in black too!
