Ecoboost only---real world mileage.

You are right on with your mode of regurgitating the facts. Unfortunately in my case I had never had good gas milage, so I have nothing to compare it to. Even the employee's of the dealership who use their EB trucks to commute have never had good milage. There is one report that one of my dealerships employee purchased a new EB Explorer and it doesn't get any better mpg than the old six cylinder.
I asked my dealer to allow me to take a SuperDuty out for a week's worth of driving if I bought the fuel. It was a SWB King Ranch loaded. I started out the week with a full tank of gas, both the SD and the EB have essentially the same size tanks: 17 gals) reset all the info screens and then drove like I normally do. Compared to my EB the SD got 3.5 mpg more for the same seven day period. In other words the SD got 18 mpg driving mostly around town to 14.5 for my EB Platinum. Since that 14.5 was what I was getting with my old King Ranch 5.4, I am really considering buying that KR SD if I can get a better trade deal on my EB Platinum.
I'm envious of you folks who drive your EB and are getting over 20 mpg. I know three people who have purchased a 2011 or a 2012 EB, SCREW, 4x4, EB and none have gotten any better mpg than what I have gotten. We are all pissed about it, but what can we do. Ford does not recognize there is a problem either in the engine itself or why there are customers who can't get good milage and others who are getting fantastic milage.
Anybody want a good deal on a Platinum.

Return trip with trailer but at 65 MPH with tow/haul mode I got 8.4. Super Awesome! Combined MPG for entire trip 11.2, great. I understand I was towing, not too concerned here.
And back and forth to work on a normal day yields 14.6 MPG consistantly and in the winter I was getting 11-12 MPG, not even close to the 18 combined that was advertised. I tell you what, If knew then what I know now (12-15 city, 15-17 highway, 8-10 towing) I would have just bought the SD F350 that I was looking at buying in the first place. Now I have to try and convience the old lady to let me sell. Really Super Awesome.

Interesting. You're going to have a hell of a time with a lemon law case in relation to mpg.
I could explain how that's going to go down, but I don't want to discourage you from getting to experience it.
I was party to a similar case once where the judge made the plaintiff pay the defendants legal fees....... Just sayin...

This truck falling on its face when you need the throttle is going to get people killed, period. If you ever experience it out in the passing lane of a two lane highway beside a semi-truck like I have you'll know what I mean.
The shudder problem is only a PITA inconvenience unless it happens in heavy traffic when as usual some idiot is right on your rear bumper and you suddenly start bucking and slowing down.
My truck idling at 3200rpm [now] three different times will only be a problem for people that don't hear well. This is how people end up driving into a convenience store or backing clear across the street into their neighbor's porch. I suspect I've got an intermittent TPS sensor but no codes. 3200rpm should mean something to someone at Ford. Why 3200?
Next comes rough idle which started when mpgs went in or I should say out of the tank [literally]. I know they are related but Ford can't seem to debug even an idle that is DA-DUT-DUT-DA-DA-DA-DUT-DA-DUT-DA-DUT-DUT-DA all the time and bad enough on occasion I have popped it up into neutral at stoplights because it felt like it was going to die.
The transmission having completely unpredictable shifting is the fifth problem that has mainly occurred since the 12-2-10 TSB was performed. The dealer keeps telling me "it's relearning". So, you're wanting to just speed up and you give it some right foot but the truck just bogs. A little more right foot causes the truck to shift clear down into first even at 35-40mph, broiling the pi$$ out of the tires, and taking off like 420 lb.ft. and 365HP can. Problem is all you want to do is speed up. That's called "re-learning"? And, since the truck can get squirrelly when this happens, this is also a safety problem.
Lastly is the mpg problem that is literally down 4-5mpg from when the truck was new. 5-6mpg when it's cold.
So, True a lemon law case would not likely go very far on this alone but the totality of the above is I think pretty formidable. Since it is a great truck when it works, though, I am still hopeful that it can be fixed. Just running out of time unfortunately.

22,000 miles in 9 months. 14-15 m.p.g. since new. 2011 super cab 4x4. 3:73 gears. All options except 20" wheels. Very unhappy with mileage. Dealer has done everything they could think of. Had a factory engineer drive and had a few more thing to do with NO improvement. Got sick of the truck last week and traded for a F-350 4x4 Diesel super cab. Hard to believe the mileage some of you are getting.

I just got back from a trip to the mountians in West Virginia towing my travel trailer that weighs 7058 dry. I probably had another 2000lbs of stuff and people. I have an XLT extended cab long bed 4X4 with HD tow and MAX payload. I got 8.9MPG towing a total of 425 miles and got 17.7 driving around the mountains without towing another 250 miles. I kept the speed towing between 65 - 70 and never above 60 without the trailer. I double checked the mileage listed on the trip with a calculator and they were both right on.
I was happy with those numbers considering I have the largest F150 you can get and can tow the most also.
