Any lift or bigger tires?

2011 screw with Eco. And just hit 10k miles and my last tank with 80% hwy miles averaged 18.6 per car and 18.1 based on hand calculations. Not bad on winter blend!!! Cruising between 68-75 on hwy commute. This last tank I just filled with 91 to see of there is a difference. So happy to own truck of the year!!!!

I know from last summer how well this truck "can do" unless of course you're lifted, running 35s, which I'm not.

To date, though, this is easily the most sensitive vehicle I've owned to winter temps and blends. 3mpg or more for me across the board without extended warmups or a heavy foot. Exact same driving habits.

Still love the truck though. Most smooth and quiet I've owned. Wife even commented how it rides smoother and is quieter than our XC90 Volvo.

2011 screw 4x4 with 3.73 gears. Getting around 16.5 in town and only about 17.5 up I15 in Utah (300 mile trip) but that's at 85 mph so I'm not really disappointed. Only would get 15 mpg in my 5.4 on the same trip. Wanting to put 295/70r18 trail grapplers on and wondering what kind of mpgs to expect. Anyone running that tire size that can report their experience?

Found out my buddy getting the 22.9 mpg w/4x4 SCAB has 3.31 gears and a 6.5' bed. Actually he just did a roadtrip and cruise set to 65 he did 23.1.

Mines up to 15, but just into my second tank.

I really think the 3.73 gears are a killer for a lot of us, and that they really aren't needed with the new 6-speed unless constantly towing very heavy loads. The ecoboost makes such great low end torque that I doubt the 3.31 trucks ever have to downshift for hills either.

I don't recall my 3.31 downshifting while on cruise. My mileage isn't any better then others on here

just put 806 miles on the EB, with 732 miles of interstate at 70-75mph the rest being city. Averaged 17.6 for the whole trip. Nice weather from mid 20's to low 50's. From the badlands of Eastern MT, through the foothills and into the mountains and back again. very little level terrain.

PS: this 17.6 is indicated. When I filled this morning at 444miles before the 99% highway return leg (3 pee stops for my girls and a side trip to the mall) I hand calculated 17.3mpg when I was indicating 16.8. Return leg indicated 18.6mpg. Have not filled to hand calculate.

So after nearly a month of driving it, 1240 miles, lifetime is 12.5, not real happy with that. I did one tank on Premium, running it out now, balance were regular, Sunoco or BP only. The truck does a lot of idling... warming up in the mornings and sitting on the job site keeping us warm. If I reset it on the interstate, on the level @65 it will do about 20mpg. PA has at least 10% ethanol in the fuel, so I'm hoping when summer blend comes back in June it picks up. I partly figured on this truck saving me $100 a month on fuel, not cost me a little more than the 2010 4.6L did I traded in on it! But the power it has is amazing!!!
