They all do. My 95 Ram and 03 Odyssey and my JD 260 and the Farmall C and the 85 Ranch King. Not like pure gas but a somewhat gassy smell.
My EB smells no different than all the above.

That is pretty typical, I experienced that on my Mazdaspeed 6 and was told to make sure the car was warm before putting a load on it. I think thats just goo practice for any engine.

Fuel dilution is common in DI engines but I haven't seen enough UOAs on the EB to know if it is a bad offender (VW AG FSI) or not so bad (VW AG TSI or Mazda DISI).

The TSB doesn't really help the problem. If you watch it closely you'll actually notice the engine will gain oil as it's diluted with gas. This can't be good for bearings and might be the cause for the timing chain/phaser problems. At this time it's theory only, but reducing the oil change interval to 5,000 miles may help ward off the problems.

Spectacularly low NOACK , great low-temp performance, stellar, stable formulation, enough viscosity 'buffer' to weather a bit of dilution and remain viable, AND .... so fekkin' inexpensive that frequent R&R isn't onerous. ( I recently found it on sale fer $13 CDN fer a 5L jug - cleaned 'em out, I did! ).
