The crap that comes out of the catch can certainly smells strongly of gas and oil, almost like 2 stroke exhaust.

I am not suggesting that the catch can itself does anything, but I do think that rerouting the PCV system is beneficial in keeping the pressure in the crank low and the flow high enough to help vaporize the fuel.
doubtful that a catch can does anthing...
this is a DI issue

gotta change oil in very short intervals if you don't want to kill your timing chain

I've had the same thought, but there are people on this board that make their living selling catch cans and drilling holes.

The way they push the "solution" you'd think the welfare of their children depends on it.

Maybe someone on here has the market or futures cornered on 1/16 drill bits?

It solved the fuel in oil smell on both my DI engines (F150 Ecoboost and Camaro LLT V6). I catch more on the forced induction Ecoboost, but both cans collect a strong fuel smelling concoction. The oil smells like oil again. The Ecoboost oil level would actually rise because of all the fuel dilution. I still change it every 4K with the Motorcraft blend and the Camaro every 5K with Mobil 1. Certainly made me a believer.

Here is what I catch in about 500 miles in colder weather on the Ecoboost. For reference, that's a 20 oz. bottle. That top layer seems to be mostly fuel.

I have an older version regular size Rx dual valve on the Ecoboost and an Elite Engineering one on the Camaro. Unfortunately, I think the Rx quality has diminished since Tracy left Rx. UPR seems to work ok too, but they seem to change their design constantly, requiring ongoing upgrades. If I was going to buy one today for the Ecoboost, I'd buy the dual valve Elite Engineering can and rig up my own brackets (last time I checked, EE didn't make an F150 specific application, but their dual valve for forced induction would work fine).
