I've been running unleashed since he came out with them, regular updates and I have participated with many datalogs sent back to torrie. Both the 87p and 93 tunes are great.

He did recently change some things with the tune. I do believe its faster than before, although I have yet gotten to the track since. Between the weather and my work schedule it has gotten tough as of late.

Anyone bashing torries tunes is full of it. Look at the track times...not only f150 but flex and sho as well. A recent upgrade from sct is helping. Just wait until the tracks get open.

I'm assuming that he has tunes that you can tow with, too? Have you ran those tunes?

I'm probably a few months away from getting a tuner, but I'd like a 93 tow, 93 perf, and 87 tow. My main concern is "reliability" and I am fan of the fast + reliable ='s expensive mindset, so I'll invest more in a tune that's conservative in some areas.

"CoreyMS"---it seems like you've had more conversations with Unleashed than anyone.

I went for another drive and there are two odd things that I noticed and one thing that keeps haunting me.

1) The thing that keeps coming back to haunt me - the misfire/blowout that I also had with the MPT at WOT just before the shift
2) Torri said that the 91 tune is supposed to be at 17PSI but I hit 22.48 PSI
3) I have never heard my fans kick in so loud since I have had the truck after just a few WOT pulls.

I havent even emailed Torri yet, I will do so soon.

The tune is still BADASS IMO . Can't wait for the thing to be tweaked a bit to avoid the misfire.

So it still misses or has blowout, boost is not 17 but 22, and you have crazy loud fans now? You don't sound like you work for unleashed anymore lol. I'm sure it does scream at 22lbs.

It may have spiked 22 but I serious doubt it was more than that. On several tunes I can make it spike if you force a 2nd gear downshift, such as a 45-55 cruise to wot pull. Even in stock form this is where you will get a spike.

Did you ever do anything to the plugs? I can't keep up with everyone, especially if you don't have sexy sock feet like Joe.

Normally it get 17 to 18, I have forced a spike at times. As for the fans...if you do many wot pulls back to back what do you think is gonna a happen ha. You still on stock thermostat?

If you have a laptop it is a good idea to datalog, even if just for yourself.

I don't know. I never asked. I have had 5 stars tow tunes forever as well. I usually load that for towing.

It maxed at ~22 at WOT, no downshifting or anything. I am sure it probably wasnt for a long period of time (I wasnt watching, I dont have a decent place to test out my truck so I have to do so in areas that need my attention).

My plugs are gapped pretty aggressively at .028 - I originally went to .032, then .030, and finally to .028 to try and solve this issue with the MPT tune. I dont think I can go lower than that...

As for the fans, yup... stock thermo. I have NEVER heard my fans kick on that loud... and I am extremely hard on my truck. Sounded like a jet was flying overhead - they were definitely at MAX fan speed.

Torrie is on top of it though, he is sending me a revised 91 tomorrow. He had me install the 87 and the 87 works great with no issues. If the revised tune has issues he said he will tell me what to log and then send it over to him so he can tell me exactly what is gooing on.

I want to mention.....
I emailed him and he responded within 5 minutes... on Friday night! The guy is a beast, I would pay the $200 for the customer service alone. Emailing him feels more like texting. No joke. I cant emphasis this enough, I am so impressed by his great communication and service . I am impatient and this is very important to me.

I forget where, but I saw Torrie (owner and tune for Unleashed) answer that question of "can you tow with the tune" and he replied with...."Yup!"

Yeah he just about always replys instantly unless he's got something on the dyno and then he usually still is fast. I probably have over 200 emails from him.

Here's a list if you want to datalog.

Knock Sensor|1|224

load|1|224

manifold absolute pressure kPA|1|224

measured afr bank 1|1|224

measured afr bank 2|1|224

o2 voltage bank1 rear sensor|1|224

o2 voltage bank2 rear sensor|1|224

rpm|1|224

spark advance|1|224

spark advance v2|1|224

throttle angle Actual|1|224

vehicle speed mph|1|224

And I usually pick out a couple extra that look worth getting while I'm there, but that's the main ones.

CoreyMS, I see you have both Unleashed and 5*. I like the low end torque of the 5* and how it holds the gears better than stock. I also have Livernois which is a great tune as well and is fast at WOT throttle but other than that I perfer the 5* because of the low end performance.

How would you say the Unleashed compares to the 5* through all ranges? I would plan to run the 91 tune because I can't get 93 here in Colordao.

Very good low end as well. It down shifts pretty aggressively as well, it chills out some after the trans learns. I'd say comparable. Nut I still don't tow with it, only because it wasn't really meant for towing and 5 star tested more for the towing, at least if its very heavy.

I have more tunes than most have tried, these are my favorites.
