Default Ecoboost Lag !!

On the market for an Ecoboost SuperCab, test drove one today and the lag is killing me, I know they are v6 and turbo but the lag… omg I dong know if I can handle that. How do you guys do it… It take about 2 seconds before the truck start to pull, don’t get me wrong it really moves after that but the lag….
Is this normal? Have you guys experience this on yours?
I have a 5.7 Tundra and are moving to the Eco, now I know the Eco is faster but the lag is killing me, have anyone done anything to improve the lag…

What from like off the line? That's to be expected there is hardly any exhaust flow at idle. But when your cruising from what I hear there is little to no lag.

If you want to fix off the line power find about a 1500 stall converter to get a boosted launch.

guess you've never driven a turbo vehicle, ever... Sheesh. In retrospect, the eco has very little lag compared to almost all setups, off idle

Another thing that kills them is the PCM has not learned any adaptive strategy. Some of it should clear up after some miles are put on it.

NO I have, Turbo Supra, Turbo RX7, Turbo Subaru WRX and an Audi TT. I am very familiar with turbos and how they work but the Eco's lag is big.. I know there have to be a way to improve this, just wandering if anyone have done anything about it or just learn to live with it..

Now this makes more sense.. Maybe an air intake may help also.

I hope you are right, cause I love turbo cars and that is the only reason I'm contemplating this Eco.. Hoping that some one will come out with a good computer chip for it besides the bully dog..

Did you drive the 5.0? I think you are experiencing more drive by wire lag than turbo lag. The 5.0 was nearly identical, 6.2 also for that matter.
