The only issue I would imagine is the turbos are only rated for 100,000 miles (At least I know that's true of the Garrett Turbos the 13-14's have. The NA part of the engine should last 200,000 miles though, most motors today still will.

I haven't seen a 3.7, 5.0, or 6.2 do it either, so no one try to say this is a trolling comment. I'd like to see any of the new engines with that many miles.
We see many 4.6 and 5.4's with that many miles, but the 5.0 and 6.2 should have no problem either. The EB though is the only engine with the PCV flaw causing these issues so I'm sure some will w/out correcting it, but it does not take much effort to see how many are having issues related to this. Correct the flaw and no reason why these wont go that far as well.

Turbos of today should go 200k plus miles with full syn oils and no oil contamination issues like the EB's experiance due to the PCV design flaw.

So I picked up big silver this afternoon and on the way home, the check engine light started flashing, and she felt like she had a dead miss . I am going to do a visual of the coil packs to ensure that they are plugged in, (had the block heater installed) and hope for the best. I will keep you guys updated!

I get what you guys both are saying. And you are right - few of them have hit 200k but I know Ford says they designed to 150k just like every other engine so I think that 200k should be doable with good maintenance.

For a good read, check out this thread: https://www.f150forum.com/f70/most-m...oboost-234045/

Some guys there are closing in on 150k.

I will say that even the 302/351, 4.6/5.4 also had issues. When I was looking for trucks I initially was going to go old and cheap. Many of the ones with 150-200k proudly wore "new engine" in their ads....

Drove to work this morning, strong smell of gas, feels like I rode in on a vibrating bed. Will be taking it back to the dealer.

Probably 99% of F150 owners don't participate in these discussions on Forum and any offer from OEM is appreciated.

This is 100% what happened to mine after the block heater and revised PCV lines where installed.

Popped two codes and off the Ford she was towed within 80 miles of her coming back.

The lady I called to tow it was a royal female dog....AND I MEAN that as nice as possible. She basically told me that she was sorry her car was fine. following that incident I was offered a rental---but hey that only took 11 business days and a HUGE headache.

I hope they get you fixed up man....it's a good engine, and with a little more work a "great" engine. Personally I've had three Ford based vehicles....two with constant issues----but this truck was the FIRST time that Ford didn't really "step-up"....and that will probably be my LAST time, too.

Man you brand loyal folks put up with way more than me.

This is my first Ford and will be my last if I have problems. No way will I trade it for another Ford if it Comes down to that. But so far mine had been a dream.
