Me nor Pete blew our motors, to my knowledge.

No. Someone with a low post-count started a thread several weeks ago claiming Pete popped his motor. One about page 3 of the thread, Pete chimed in that his was alive and well.

So, is the aftermarket tuning actually saving these motors? My truck runs 10x better all around with either SCT or 5* tunes.
I did a google search and found 2 Flex Ecoboost engine failures but doesn't look like it is common. Definately some driveability issues similar to F150s but not as common.

I got rid of it. Turbo Pete and I were discussing his truck and he brought it to my attention, same guy apparently did the same thing on all the ecoboost forums. I banned whoever did it, don't recall the name. He had a personal issue sounds like with Pete or something, I didn't ask.

I know for a fact Ford had stopped production on the Ecoboost F150 motor for re-engineering .
I just got back on the road today after 2 months down time waiting for them to be out of national back order . Don't know what they are doing differently now but I know they did something.

Maybe this is what is causing some confusion?

Does anyone know what the re-engineering of the ecoboost was or is?
