Edit #2: I realized I was derailing this thread... Sorry. I think I'll go drill my CAC now.

Wow that was a lot of crap that came out of there! Water and oil that smelled like fuel. I guess a catch can is in order! Plugs were way off too. Re-gapped and it is certainly more responsive to small throttle inputs.

Any step-by-step on how to remove CAC for cleaning?

I have 19k on mine and decided to check/change plugs as a precaution. The factory plugs still looked good and the gap was around .034. However I have a catch can and IC drilled. I have noticed over time the catch can was getting clogged with a milk shake like consistency of fluid. Disconnected it and flushed it out with brake cleaner. All is well.

Your drilled CAC is basically a big, self draining catch can.

Even before my ecoboost days I always used catch cans on my mustangs. Whether to just catch oil or all the other crap the eco spits out I feel it's worth using. Forgot to mention I reinstalled the new plus .028 Gap.

Just an update, my MPG have improved after re-gapping the plugs from 13.5 to about 15.3 on my usual commute. HWY improved from about 15 to around 17.5 (I have Max Tow, horrible HWY mileage)

UPR Mega catch can is catching tons of stuff, and the weep hole is doing its job. It's a shame to have to modify a 40K truck like this, but I feel like it is where it needs to be now.

Any one know of videos on CAC removal?

Even with the breather on my aFe I try and drain my IC several times a week. The breather stops a lot of water buildup but this sludge is too thick to release it all through the breather. This was last night with 2 days of driving, rained Wednesday. Have a catch can on its way.
