Turbonetics CAC has higher mounting than OEM and different look on the leaving end of it. Obviously cleaning bugs would be needed.

EB condensate drain hole results.
That's the title of this thread.
Glad to see you're back posting nonsensical off topic BS. Why don't you post this in the epically long and ridiculous thread you made with all the definitions.

Whew, wha' a thread! I think the forum just needs a one question, two answer poll:

Did the hole help ye Ecoboost?

1. yes
2. no

Done. Drill young'un, drill is wha' I say.

Obviously the design in itself would help with cleaning the condensate out and not letting it build it up setting higher not having such a height to draw it out from much easier/quicker. A much better result than a hydro-lock amount. "and you can still drill the hole!" Obviously the All Aluminum CAC would be for the owners with hard working trucks, probably not the daily driver, mostly for many with the 11 to 12 years now out of warranty, they will do what they want while the tiny hole is a no brainer.

Possibly not ideal to pre-HEAT the air mass used to cool the A/C condenser and the engine coolant.

Wouldn't be any different than driving on a hot afternoon in traffic on blacktop.

I bought my 2012 XLT with 70,000 miles. Next day I drove it to Stillwater in the pouring rain. Had the misfire issue. (I was completely unaware of the issue before) Paniced, thinking I bought a lemon. Re-joined this forum, replaced 6 plugs and gapped them to .028, replaced 6 ignition coils, and drilled the hole. All is right in the world again. No misfires since, and I drove it in the pouring rain a good distance again to test it. Here are some picks of the crap that came out right after I drilled the hole. It was a perfect day here in OKC when this crap came out. Happy with my decision.

With the 15 now out with a different design cac this question/survey could be immaterial and a new thread started for it.

This thread is in the 2009-2014 section.
It is to post your results of drilling a hole in the CAC.
These things are still relevant years from now with these trucks. How is it immaterial in any way.
Are you suggesting we should all buy 2015s and close this thread and start up a new thread in the 2015+ section and see if anyone needs to drill holes there?
Please, stay on topic, post your results for the proper vehicle here.
