Use a torque wrench, make sure the socket is on straight while torquing. It is easy to crack the porcelain part of the plug during install.

If you have an '11 or '12, also pick up a set of the plug boots. There was an update. Apply some di-electric grease on the inside of them prior to install.

Yup mostly biggest thing to take away from this thread would be id say, to drill a 1/16" weep hole in lowest point of drivers side intercooler, as well as change plugs and gap them .28-.32? And take it from there, hope that helps some, lots of pics and how tos on the web

Ecoboost Gunk
I have done both, the catch can, and the CAC hole...The catch can gunk is by far the highest volume, and at least theoretically can get caught up in your intake in clumps of accumulation, depending on the throttle demand...Ford chose to use a standard PCV system with a high velocity/pressure twin turbo engine, and there is an excessive amount of this generated. The two measures have helped substantially, but I am not sure if the problem can be completely "cured". I am sure that ethanol in the gas compounds the problem as it produces/gathers more moisture than actual real gas.

OK got my plugs, they check to be .31-.32 so I guess that is OK? I already hit my first roadblock - 2 actually. I don't want to just going unplugging stuff not knowing what it is, if it is pressurized, etc. Can you give me some guidance? I cannot get the plugs out without doing something on these two areas.
On the high pressure fuel pump there is a release tab on the bottom of the plug you have to push as you pull the plug off, it's kinda a pain to get with the angle but not real hard.
Just make sure to plug everything back up after you're done obviously.
