Oh I know. Just didn't want anyone to assume he actually was spouting off fact. Lol

By the way to the other comment. The fuel no longer touches the back side of the valves so unfortunately fuel additives are a waste of money. Besides this is about condensation in the intercooler, different issue.
I have no credentials! So please bear with me. I'm about to do the CAC clean and drill a hole, plus your catch can system, but I've already got 80k on my 2011 (I hunt and fish way too much) so I'm definitely concerned about the gunk build up on valves. It makes sense what has been said about BG or other fuel system cleaners not doing anything because of direct injection. However, there is a euro focused shop in my town that did a BG service to my wife's mini, he described it as both "fuel side" and "oil side" cleaning. That is as specific as what was stated to me. Any idea about BG or similar products; whether there is any product/method other than tear down and walnut chip blasting that can clean the valves?

So you just blow acid based water with oil mix out your tiny hole at an average rate of 3/4 cubic foot per minute all the time you drive it and donT really care. So what !

Wut?

.75 CFM of water? In every ecoboost? Under every condition? I'm going to say this in the most polite way I know how: Are you ****ing high?

I'm coming back to this because of the total ****ing wrongness of it, and I think it's important that people understand how completely unhinged and technically clueless this individual is:

At see level, at 100 degrees (F), at 100 % humidity, with a 100% efficient intercooler, at 7000RPM, under full boost, you would get maybe .1 CFM of water.

Cubic feet of air more or less depending on your driving style with condensate and vapors in it. It is what the motor is making when running plus the normal water vapor humidity level. All the crankcase ventilation situation has already been shown many times. Condense it so it can't get into the cac and the acid/oil from the crankcase is gone. The vapors in the hose from the motor to the intake near the turbo needs condenced first. Do this and the air/water coming out the hole drilled becomes much better to the environment. What you do is up to you but some will see the reason justifies what I say can be ok. A great deal of the time driven is under boost with crankcase combustion blow by being sucked through the hose. That hose is considered under vacuum during the boost time.

Default Anybody drill "the hole" in a Full Race CAC

I've had the studder a few times, all the classic conditions. Has anybody drilled the hole in a Full Race intercooler? If so, where? I'm not sure there is an obvious place.

Another option might be to try their blow offf valve, but I think the hole might be more effective, and I can do without the BOV noise.

Thanks

Without going back and reading all 150 + posts, I'm sure someone has brought this up already but... Once the CAC is drained and washed out with some mildly soapy water, properly installing the RX Oil Separating Catch Can will catch the water in the system.

This will completely resolve the issue. It will remove the excess condensation along with unburned fuel, oil, sulfuric acid and other crap.

Why not keep the engine clean and eliminate this issue all at once?

Sorry guys, reading these posts over and over, I just couldn't resist chiming in.

HAVE A GREAT WEEKEND EVERYBODY!
