What is with the range of power? What was changed? 500 wtq is some pretty impressive numbers.

Ok just got back in town from work in ND which was no fun to damn cold for me. So after loving on the wife and son. I opened up my new K&N CAI nice product just like the AirAid both top notch. Easy to put together "if you can read" just like the Airaid just a few more parts. So it was easy to install took bout an hour from start to finish a few cigs and the wife coming out to the garage and getting in my *** wanting to know why I am putting mods on a perfectly brand new truck, you think she would now me after 10 yrs and me moding up her 6.0 Burban. Well everything went in perfect no problems fire up the truck sounds good just like the AirAid but has a hint more turbo noise. I like that. Go drive it and I love it the sucking and the turbo sound are perfect. I will have to say I like it better than the AirAid, style and sound above the AirAid. I really like the fact it replaces the factory tubes I could not stand having that ribbed collar in the factory tube with the AirAid. And this is just me it felt a little more peppy with the K&N. So I will be keeping the K&N over the AirAid. For me it is the perfect combo Livernois 93v2 tune with K&N CAI. The K&N is the way to go in my opinion big filter and all smooth tubes. I will do more testing on this set up and will report back.

I am loving this K&N CAI. And it has all the right noise you want ie. Turbo and Sucking. And I got it from autoanything shipped for $210. Go to web site and check it out they may not have the page updated and it may say only for 11-12 but if you go to K&N web page the part numbers are the same. Working great on my '13

Hi guys, I know this thread is for ecoboosts but I am in the market for a cai and I have the 5.0. My question is do I need to tune the truck for the installation of an intake or can I run an intake alone? The reason I ask is because I jut bought my truck two weeks ago and I don't want to ruin the certified pre owned warrantee. Any help would be great!

Do you need a tune to run a Cold Air Intake in these trucks? I know they are usually just drop in, but I didn't know if it would mess with a standard tune for any reason or another. Thanks for any input.

No tune needed. But a tune is going to give you a tingle up your back and a smile on your face.
