the service manual that i got the pic from never said anything about anti sieze compound, id jus put it in, other stuff night just interfere with the operation of the unit.

That is the old thermostat heater that Ford is now instructing dealers to REMOVE. Get the block heater instead. https://www.f150forum.com/f2/ford-te...0014-a-243990/

New 2011 2013 Ford F 150 Block Heater Cord Element 3 5L Ecoboost V6 | eBay
The only issue with the "new" block heater is , according to the Ford instructions, you have to remove the driver side turbo. Not exactly a quick and easy thing to do. I do believe this "new" block heater from Ford will work better though because it is actually in the block. If I would've only waited two months.....
