Eco trans shift ?????????

Eco trans shift ?????????
Will anybody ever be to make a program so the Eco trans will shift instantly????????? I would really like to shift mine in manual mode but, when I do it seems like a three second delay from when I hit the selector until it actually changes gear. In the old school days when you put a valve body shift kit in your automatic trans, it would change gears instantly when you moved the shifter. It be be nice if these Ecos could work like that. I would think with today's technology this wouldn't be difficult.

Quite the delay in the M mode shifting...i have banged her off the limiter a few times doing manual mode..lol.
Tried at the track and it delayed..so i hit the botton again....opps now i am in third gear when i really only wanted second

I understand it's not a Ferrari but, it shouldn't be that tough to make it shift. Like I said in the old days a few bucks on a shift kit and it worked great. Even when you floor it and let it do it's own thing the shifts are all late. Are you saying I have to buy a $400 K car to get a quick shift ???????? Maybe all the electronic technology isn't the way to go. I do like my truck !!!!

The select shift is a love/hate thing for me.I Think the delay is in the signal from the switch to computer. It shifts real clean when in auto mode.

I have not been inside this transmission yet....I don't think it uses conventional shift valves and springs. Not sure but I think it uses solinoids to shift. The delay I Think is electrical....the switch itself. Tuning could add line pressure if desired.

While the 6r80 is a strong transmission it would soon self destruct if it changed gears under full load. The shift stratagey uses torque management to reduce engine output while shifting to reduce the strain on the clutches and this takes time hence the delay If this feature was not available the trans would have to be much heavyer, cost more and be less efficient.

If they can get a heavy *** Allison in a 10sec dmax to shift fast enough, or a 48re dodge behind a 1000hp cummins to shift fast enough and last, they can surely do it with these. Hennessy just posted about a full built transmission on a twin turboed raptor so there's something around for them.
