Couldn't you just cross reference the plug that Ford put in there?

I just want to make sure I get the right plugs. Don't want to go to the auto parts store and get the wrong plugs because their system is not up to date.

Question plug color and gap

This is from the plug on the left side closest to the front bumper as you face the truck from the front. is that normal with the red and that amount of black? gap was about .035ish i brought it down to .032 and cleaned it with a wire brush. thanks for your help all

That's odd! Mine were sooty though. Some worse than others.

Man, I don't know if it is normal or not but I would really be thinking about changing them all after seeing that.

yeah i stopped after the first one. i'll do the other 5 tomorrow and then off to the auto store i go to get new plugs, anyone recommend a plug? don't care how much

Have you ever used a bottle of Octane Boost? It makes the plugs look like that....doesn't hurt them just turns them reddish brown looking, like rust.

no i use Ethanol, additive and was using Ethanol free gas for awhile, sometimes i use 93 octane but usually 87. Never Octane booster though. the plug around the white part had some redish around it as well.
