The owners manual for the 2011-12 F-150s says .33-.37, and the new 2013 manual says .30-.33. If you have a 2011-12 then yours are probably set somewhere between .33-.37 since that was the spec at the time.

All I know is that she is running pretty good! haha

I would think that if stock specs are .030 - .033 then .028, although low, is not an earth-shattering change from the lower bound of the stock specs.

I remember reading on this forum that some plugs were pulled out of an F-150 as low as .025 from the factory.

I dont foresee any negative side effects due to a too narrow of a spark plug gap - if anyone knows of one, please correct me.

Thanks for the replies, all!

Below are the plugs that I guess were causing my issues - although the LOOK fine to me..

The plugs in the rear of the engine are closest in the picture out to those from the front. Left is from the driver side while those on the right are from the passenger side.

Basically just ordered as if you were sitting in the driver seat and looking out towards the engine.

We regapped to .030 and it was perfect after that.

Sure looks like Rick said they gapped theirs to .030 to me.

Joweeenie you are always so fast to argue. If your plugs are closer to the .030-.032 range from the factory (as they should be) then there is no need for Rick to mention anything. Do you want to drag up your persistent negativity about certain exhaust systems, intakes, etc like you have done in the past with me. One day you will have a real truck as nice as mine and won't feel so inferior and can move on with your life. Toodles

I'm not arguing. You said Rick never said anything about gapping plugs to .030 so I found the post to prove it to you. I don't see how me proving you wrong makes me inferior or how my truck is any less of a truck than yours. Thanks for the response though.

Glad to see this. The first time I pulled mine I set them to 35 based on this. Had some hesitation and bucking on quick acceleration\WOT. Nothing major. So I pulled them again and set them all to 30 based on what I saw here. Those issues are gone and am now running LMS 91 perf and it runs awesome.

As truck owners, we argue on what manufacturer is the best.....

As F-150 owners, we argue on what engine is the best.....

As Ecoboost owners, we argue on what tuners/mods are the best....

I guess this game of "my stick is better than your stick" will never end.
