Well stop "tuning" with these silly devices and just drive the damn truck. Don't make changes unless you actually know what you're doing. Emphasis on "actually".
When it comes to engine management, there is no such thing as plug and play enhancements. If it were that easy, every vehicle would already be tuned that way from factory (oh wait, they already are...)

Didn't know I had the misfire/shudder issue till I put a 91MPT tune in.
Even with a 87 Tow tune in the problem is there but stock never ever threw a code or misfired.
Pulled the plugs this morning a all were gapped around .40 but plugs themselves looked amazing good with 30K on them.
Re gapped to .30-.32
Initial start up the truck had a surge at idle, probably 100rpm bounce.
Went and did multiple launches and wide open throttle runs and misfire is gone.
Idle has steadied out too.
See where it goes from here...

I checked all my plugs an hour or so ago, they were all almost exactly .032. They look like they are burning well too, nothing to be alarmed about.
Attachment 185167
Soot from your bumper sounds excessive for sure.

Plugs checked yesterday on 11 EB with 30k on it looked pretty much the same.
After driving it for a day the shudder/misfire definitely gone.
Idle is a bit rough, about 100rpm surge on tach, should have looked at it on the Torque App.

Hey guys decide to change my Spark Plugs on my EB, they had 35k miles on them and i had an early 2011 EB with very MPG in the past 3 months, turns out that all sparkplug gaps were way off, 0.042 - 0.044 the plugs themself looked good but i said what the hell might as well, had bought them in case one was cracked, so i gapped them to 0.034 and installed new OEM ford plugs. started it and pretty sure it ran smoother and i am also pretty sure i get better fuel mileage, though it might be in my head LOL!!. I have to say it even seems to be more peppy. But could be in my head, as for the 55 shudder well mine was pretty much gone after that TSB 12-2-10 i think it was called, they replaced the left bank catylic converter and reprgrammed the ECU, after that i also noticed that black soot was gone on my tailpipe, wich was pretty bad before the reflash. Will post back for Fuel economy updates. by the way the best i could get at 55mph was 18 - 18.5 mpg. much worst than when it was new i did about 21MPG at 65.

I'm getting poor mileage around town (average is 13.3 hand calculated) and have noticed that my tailpipe is black and sooty. I may have to pull my plugs and check them and see if this helps. I get a bit of a stumble here and there at idle and its sluggish from take off.

These things are a pain in the butt. miss the old days with room to work. How big of a problem is it if the red lock on the connector breaks? Don't see anyway of replacing them. I pulled it out to hard.

I don't think it matters much if one is wrecked. I can say though that these are way way easier than a few years ago. Try a 5.4 lol. I am actually halfway through mine as we speak. The 5 I've done so far were all 0.040 so I'm hopeful for an improvement.
