Eco spark plug gap
#71
I would concur going no smaller than .033 or so on the gap. When I had my SVO the factory plug gap was .032, and it still used a conventional distributor ignition system. Coil on plug will give you a hotter spark to each cylinder, so you're probably leaving some performance on the table going with a smaller gap than that. Only if you have a tune that turns up the boost and are experiencing misfiring would I go with a smaller gaps.

Yeah, he told me to go .032 at the very least because I am running a tune that increases the boost a little, but .034 should have no problems.

Keepin' the lights on!
I just got off the phone with NGK tech support. They told me that the Ford OE plugs in our trucks were made by them and are there Iridium OE line. However they are not the IX line that also has an iridium electrode. I told him my modifications(aftermarket tune of 60+ more hp) and he said he would recommend going one plug cooler which is a part number of a LTR7IX-11 or under the store numbers of 6510 in their Iridium IX line. He told me the least he would recommend going with the gap was .034 to.032 at the least. I hope this info helps others.
