SCT Flash X4 Tuner neew coils and plugs
I am looking for opinions on new coils and plugs for my 2012 f150 ecoboost. I am running a performance tune with my SCTX4 tuner and want to change the coils and plugs. Suggestions??? My truck only has 31,000 babied miles. Time to unleash the beast in her.

You may need plugs but I doubt it unless you are getting hesitations, misses, etc. Then I would change them and the boots. SP-550 plugs come gapped at .028, which is what you would want for a performance tune.
Coils only replace once you have issues. They are good for well beyond a canned performance tune.
Why waste money when there is no benefit.

sp-534 comes pre-gapped at .032 and the sp-550's come gapped at .028. There is another one like sp-542 that comes gapped at .030. From my understanding they are all basically the same plug just pre-gapped to different specs. But I replaced mine last time with sp534 gapped to .028 so I haven't tried the sp550 personally. I didn't know they existed at the time.
