I have a question and I'm not bashing you for looking for a new truck. I know several folks that trade when the warranty is up so they always have coverage. Why not pay $1200 or so for the extended coverage and just keep it longer? I use to trade after about 18 months to 2 years but not for warranty reasons, I got bored and wanted new. Now that I'm married with children I can't afford that hit anymore.

I think maybe Ford shorten the warranty because it is an EcoBoost and they are all limited to about 50k before they blow up. They are brand new turbo technology after all so they simply cannot last, that is proven fact ya' know. It's a conspiracy, a conspiracy I tell you.

That is a good point, but I was quoted $2400 for 60K. If I could get 100K for $1200, I would be all over it as it would be much cheaper than replacing the truck every 60K.

I don't think I paid much more than that. There are several ford dealers that will quote you a price online. I took the email into my local dealer and they matched the price.

I like a new ride every 2-3 years, sooner if the right deal comes along. The warranty being up just pushes me a little harder to find something. I did keep my diesel longer but I had a little more confidence in it not breaking.

Yeah, there is a thread about this. Ziegler Ford is one of the online dealers. I believe I looked at a 125,000 mile Premium coverage warranty (bumper to bumper) and it was going to be around $1,900.

Hi bigmike67,

I want to look into some options to assist. For me to do so, I'll need a PM from you with your name, daytime phone number, mileage, VIN, and preferred servicing dealership.

I myself didnt get an extended warranty, because I knew I was gonna tune it, and I did with in a few weeks. Plus I have had nothing but crapy experience with extended warrantys.

Why in the world would I buy an extended warrantee? Its Ford tuff and reliable, correct??? NOT!
Well a good dealer would do it as it's a super easy thing to reprogram.

Also, they stopped making the 350 a while in their trucks. In fact, as of the 2014 model year they have new engines across the board.

I love my 350 I have in my k5 blazer...
