1,200mi. Was towing empty 20'box trailer from Galveston to Beaumont. Stoped for gas, was a little fog 7am. Pulled onto roadway made a right going up I10 onramp . Hit the gas hard to enter trafic . Didnt get far, thought i blew engine,no power, cel. Still in onramp sholder i shut it off for a few mins. scroling through the info screen i found nothing pertaining to my issue. It started back up and i continued to Va. Beach within 24 hours had no ferther issues averaged 11.9 mpg empty trailer over 1400mi. Return 13.2mpg loaded trailer.

I had it happen 2 times in 9k miles. First time right after it rained. Second time, was after driving through heavy fog for 20 miles. When it cleared up, tried to pass on two lane with oncoming traffic and lost power. Not a pleasant experience.

Both times the temp was upper 30s to lower 40s. No CEL either time.

I doubt if it happens again until the lower temps this fall. Our humidity levels are pretty low.

Default Not exactly whats happening

I have a EB built in Feb 2011. I live in RI on the coast and it gets realy humid July and August and generally in the 40-60% range on average except Feb and March. I have noticed lower gas mileage in the winter and when its really humid, the engine seems sluggish. Having owned 4 cyl cars previously, I automatically turn the ac off but that doesnt much help. I have been in for a tranny reflash for hard shift and now dealing with the hard clunk into gear when going from d to r. Also, when I start the truck in the morning and put it in gear, it doesnt move until i gas it at which point it lunges forward. the tech at the dealer indicated that is how it is beacuse the transmission is low pressure, whatever that means. Thats my 2 cents

Thread title may be confusing, would not have related loss of power to condensation issue.
