EB owners poll: who has the IC condensation issue?
Thought I start a poll to see how many on here are affected by the IC condensation issue, and how many are not.
Please include how many miles you have on the truck, and your location / state.
Thanks for participating!
me: have not had the problem yet
miles: 6,500
state: WA

I voted because I traded an Eco for these very issues and that truck is sitting on a dealer lot somewhere.

I had the issue happen twice, both times were in the Spring with changing temps and both times were within a couple days of eachother.
First time it happened was on the way to North Dakota for our snow goose hunting trip. I was pulling an enclosed trailer at 75 mph for almost 200 miles. The further I went, the more the fuel economy indicator dropped. It had rained the night before(we left MN at 2:00 AM) and the air temp dropped 20 degrees in those 200 miles. Pulled into Fargo around 5:00 AM to refuel, pushed the go pedal accelerating back on the freeway and truck fell on its face. Let off the gas a second, pushed it again and it went fine. Fuel economy was back up for a while and then began dropping again as we drove another 200 miles.
Two days later while we were staying in ND, the temp changes led to some very thick fog. The evening before we drove 50 miles through it and parked the truck, then that morning going back hunting we drove through it again for 50 miles. When we went to lunch I went to hammer on it a little bit and again it fell on its face.
Neither of these times did the truck throw a CEL or indicate anything was wrong.
I may have noticed it very slightly one or two other times, but don't know for sure.
When the issues happened I was at probably 12-14 thousand miles. Currently have 19,900 miles on the truck. Mostly driven in central MN, build date of July 2011.

Just had this happen Saturday night. No rain, but it had rained most of the day. Truck had only been running 10 minutes or so. Went to accelerate and the rpms pegged, truck wouldn't shift and it began shaking violently. Had a flashing check engine light. It would maintain speed, but wouldn't accelerate. It felt like the truck was going to shake apart. I got it pulled over and ran a health report but everything showed up ok. I so regret trading my '10 for this...

Have had it happen several times. All the times it happened it was after cruising a long time. The 1st time it happened it was the middle of the afternoon on a clear sunny day in VA. The other times it happened I was traveling late at night, early morning (like 2am) and it was a cool and foggy.
The states it has happened in are FL, GA, SC, NC, WV, and VA.
Been happening since new and I have 31,000 miles on the truck now.
I know now to periodically in these foggy conditions to run the rpms up at WOT (manually shifting to a lower gear) peridocially and it is fine. Is this appropriate, no, this problem shouldn't happen, but it does, and I like everything else about this truck so much I am willing to work around it until they find a solution.
