It's funny, if someone posts a positive experience, no issue but if someone posts a negative experience, they are a hater. They are also posting their experience.

The rest of us are laughing at the fan boys. Certainly not calling you that as you have just relayed your experience which is cool. You didn't try to tell someone it was their fault the tune didn't perform up to expectations. Good for you!

I think customers can all have different experiences with companies. USUALLY the customer determines the outcome of the level of service they receive past a certain point. I'll be as nice as possible to a customer, up until a certain point. Once they cross that threshold, I'm not going to go out of my way to help them as I would to a customer that is respectful and nice from start to finish.

Hahahah omg I said I was done and would not post again but did no one else see they went from Gen 6 to Gen 8 in the last 4 week wow that's amazing that someone could figure out 3 levels of tune in 30 days. That's some Harry potter wizard skills. I can't believe that level of tuning exist and I personally know scott Clark the guy who tuned Larry Larson pickup(the world fastest street car/truck )I can't understand how people still fall for this crap. What did he unlock 2 times this month other then his bank account? Again his tunes are good but people cant be this stupid????? To keep updating is stupidity at its finest. With that said i will come back at gen 25 or what ever stupid name it is at that point.

Omg gen 8 makes virgins throw themselves at your feet. Mthe Give me a break. Wow sheepeople

Ya, the whole Gen thing is interesting. Another way to keep giving money. The OP came back to talk about the Gen 8 version. His main gripe was one of the selling points was it corrected a known issue with a previous version which he had experienced. If it's a known issue and people had complained about it, shouldn't they get the revision for free? Just doesn't make any sense to me. The worst thing is he was chastised for coming back to HIS thread and posting about it by a fan boy. I thought it was very relevant and appreciated it.

For all the haters out there, Shawn doesn't charge for updates if you maintain the current version. He only charges a minimal fee for guys who don't keep their tunes current, such as buying the old T4 or Gen2 tunes and then never doing the succeeding updates. Every tuner has updates, hasn't LMS had like 12 different versions of their lame *** tune.

I may be a 'fanboy', but I'm laughing at you jerks in my rearview mirror.

If it's not, it's the blenders fault.

That is 100% patently false that he did not charge full price for the tune updates I did. I paid for the upgrade from T4 to T5 and after having unresolved issued with T5, he did 'upgrade' me to Trex. That's when misfires being read was turned off. Trex had issues, so he put everyone on raptor and I think some guy blew his motor and the tune revisions came out again as a result.

So, no. Free tune revisons were only from widespread problems with tunes, otherwise, $$$

I see what you mean about the constant updates though. GENxxx etc, etc. I started with SSI4TS2 got upgraded to GEN2 for free ran that for awhile then paid for GEN5, upgraded to GEN6 for free (really good tune I might add GEN6). I didn't even know there was a GEN8 until I saw it mentioned in this thread. I asked about it on SSI's forum about purchasing it and Shawn sent it to me for free.

So, that's not entirely true about no free updates I hardly ever post there on SSI's forums so I'm not one of the regulars (same screenname as F150forums) and none of the upgrades I got for free were due to my truck having problems.

I had to chime in on this not just because I'm a "SSI fanboy" just a regular joe stating my experience and so far it's been positive

bdw132, I saw that over there where you asked about the price and didn't see it on the website yet, and then I see Shawn post email sent. And it is true you don't come over very often but I can see you were taken care of very fast.

Yeah, I actually feel guilty for getting the tune for free. I would gladly pay him no doubt. I mean the guy's got to eat too, that's the way I look at it.

I got tunes from other tuners but the SSI tunes are pretty impressive worth every penny.
