It's no coincidence to see the bash followed by the endorsement of LET which is a .net bastion.

Lenn, as I just said to Doug: It is a fantastic idea to send your money to SSi - if in fact you want the best tunes and support available. Who else would you send money to: LMS? Haven't been relevant fuhevuh; MPT? Tuning that is flat out a mess once Mike starts trying to play away from base; Erick? He's still trying to learn where the water is let alone getting his feet wet; 5*? safe but then why leave stock in the first place? etc. et al.

People are spending their hard earned money. Stay out of it and let them make a smart choice.
Mightly mouthy for someone who's been a part of exactly NONE of the dealings between me, my staff, and SSI aren't we? Man... where to start. Well I'm normally above the public stuff but since you want to try to publicly call me out for something that you're no more prevy to than the newest memeber here, consider yourself on a short rope. PM inboooooound!!!!!!

So what was physically wrong with my truck that only shows itself with a SSI tune and no others? That sounds like an awfully convenient excuse especially when my LET tune is just as strong as my t1t2t3t4trexraptorgen2ssi tune

Pinging?
Faulty cruise?
Underboost codes?

Only with SSI.

Maybe the SSI tune was X% more aggressive. Tune for the truck. Knock that down so the truck can actually be driven. Every vehicle is different.

Inability or refusal to do that is the definition on canned

At the end Gen2 had the cruise and pinging issues. Trex had underboost codes which, after verifying no leaks, was fixed via a revision called TA. Trex also had misfires which I bought brisk plugs from SSI to fix which and those ended up faulty and replaced with narrower gap sp534

Default Just wow people

I'm thinking this thread has been beat to death.
OP posted his bad experience with a business to "warn" other people I suppose. I don't know that there are any other ulterior motives here. I tell my friends when restaurant sucks. I tell them if I got bad customer service somewhere. That's all Rockhound is doing right?
So leave it be. This is no different than peoples posts about a bad dealership experience or similar is it? I'm SSI ftw but I don't see a reason to stand up for Shawn. That was his business with Rockhound. The only difference here is that Shawn can't post his reply because he has been banned so we are basically arguing a one sided case. Whop t doo. Let me tell you about my AWESOME customer service experience this morning.
I get an email this morning "Can you try a Gen 5 file?"
Me: "Send it my way"
I drive it, shifts are incredibly smooth, great power delivery, I have bigger tires and I would like a little more down low. I CALL Shawn while I am driving and he says go back and check you email for another update.
I get revision 2. Hot foot it down the road, get into 6th and immediately get ping under load between 1100 and 1500 rpm. No bueno. Call him in the truck and tell him whats up. He gives me a little insight into torque reduction and the shift tables and a whole bunch of stuff I don't really understand. Asks me if I have larger tires and I say yes. He says "revision 3 on the way"
I get the revision and it works flawlessly. I call him and let him know it's ****.
See, great experience and I got the Gen 5 tune.

I went to KFC last night and got burned chicken. Pissed me off. Called the manager and she was not sympathetic. Totally rude, blew me off. I guess I am done with KFC forever. HOWEVER, there is still Popeyes, Canes, and a handful of others I can try from. Love me some capitalism yo. If you don't like it, move on down the road. IT IS UP TO THE INDIVIDUAL TO DETERMINE WHAT IS BEST FOR THEM.

The difference is, you probably won't have 10 guys posting that you are wrong, your chicken was burnt because you ordered it wrong, or didn't ask for non-burnt chicken, or should be pleased to get burnt chicken since burnt KFC chicken is better than any other chicken joint out there.
Now I'm hungry.

I meant how aggressive did you have it, not just the gen?

I told Shawn the truck was a daily driver and not a track toy, just wanted reliable and fun. I didn't specify anything outside of that.
