Every vehicle I have owned used more gas in the winter: carbureatored, injected, turbo charged, high performance or low, in cooler temps the gas mileage just wasn't as good as in mild temps.
Are the 5.0 owners noticing lower gas mileage ? Perhaps theyll chime in.....
My Mazdaspeed 3 had cold weather stutter to some degree and mileage suffered in cooler weather as well; I experimented by blocking the air to the intercooler and that helped a lot towards resolving the cold weather issues.
Alas, I lost my nerve over concerns of possibly roasting something and ended the experiment early. It doesn't get very cold here in Houston, but if I lived where it was -20 or something along those lines, I'd give it a long term test with my EB.
Anybody in frigid temps want to give it a try?
Curiosity killed the cat, as they say......

I just bought the 2014 FX4 SCREW ECO 3.55 after having the same exact truck but 2013 model. The 2013 got 14.9mpg in the city and my new 2014 gets 13.9mpg city. Literally, the only difference is the 2014 has a bedliner. Would it be a tuning issue? I'm driving it the same. They both had leveling kits. I don't get how y'all are getting high teens mpg.
Thanks for the help in advance.
