The guys here in the front office are running a holiday sale starting this friday, same discounts as black friday.. ill share the post here when they put it online, good opportunity to save on an exhaust or intercooler

I know one of our customers who posts here is setting his catch can up with the engine cover in place. I will ask him to upload photos to this thread

its a traditional catch can, baffles and entrainment media inside. you can drain it in about 2 minutes, its easiest to unbolt from the cowl and just turn it upside down -or- you can unscrew the drain plug from the bottom, whichever you prefer. I usually drain it when i change my oil.

According to their website that graph is for the EFR set up

So I'm getting ready to install one of my black Friday purchase(s). Looks like I will have to cut the tube from the PCV connectors currently in use and reuse them to connect the catch can.

Default question

Guys, I have a chance to buy a dirt cheap FR intercooler from a friend of a friends 2012 EB. I've got a 2013. Can I use it? Will I need to purchase anything extra? Seems as if the BOV set ups are different. Sorry for the dumb question, I don't know much about intercoolers. Thanks in advance.

I think you only need to purchase the EBOV pipe. Just give FR a call and they will sale you the pipe. I think that's it, but when you call them, they can provide the final verdict.

I will be setting up my catch can so that the cover stays on. Will post images as it gets installed. Looking forward to having time over the next couple days.

My recommendation would be to grab a turbosmart bov from full race and hook that up. When you purchase that ask for the new charge pipe elbow to have the turbosmart be at the lowest part of charge pipe elbow. This is the Config you ideally want. Keeps high boost leaks from occurring and blows out any blow by that can form. It's worth the money, and can purchase through full race

After I started the project, it doesn't seem to difficult to retain the cover. I stopped the install since I wanted to keep the OEM tubing and connectors and ended up ordering additional quick release connectors.

I've seen your setup RB on another forum - sweet setup, looking forward to seeing the results of the new turbo's.

Let me know what you do to keep the cover, probably will go that route myself.

When i did my catch can install i used a heat gun to re use the oem connectors. It softens up the tube just enough to pull them off.
