I would wait for Geoff's turbos, if I'm not mistaken, they are still tuned by Let.

I have not been here much. My truck is not around anymore the truck got rear ended. But I was running and testing these turbos prior to the mishap and all I can say is they were single handed the best mod I did to my truck. I was seeing 25psi with out issues so the turbos have more then enough air to carry this motor well into the aftermarket fueling upgrades. Before my truck was totaled.

I raced my wifes 2014 jeep srt that has run 12.9 @ 105 We used to race and I would jump out on her and then by 90 she had put 3 cars on me.

Once we got the turbos on and erick with LET had a mild tune in it I was walking her jeep by 4 lengths easy in the 1/4 mile. Here is a picture of her jeep at the track. These turbos were more then insane We never got the truck to the dyno before it was totaled we only had data log tuning done at that point. It was all very sad really. Geoff is an amazing person and outstanding person to deal with if your on the fence go with the FR turbos. One big thing is these turbos are factory turbos that have not been opened up so they are factory balanced. Geoff told me how this was done one time but from what I got out of its way better for longer lasting turbos.

These turbos were more then insane

Which turbo are you talking about? LET 58mm or the GT 54mm?

[QUOTE=geno51;4268102] I was seeing 25psi with out issues so the turbos have more then enough air to carry this motor well into the aftermarket fueling upgrades. Before my truck was totaled.

Im new to all this upgrading turbo stuff haha. But how did you get so much boost on the stock fuel system? Im assuming you did the in tank fuel pump and was that it?

Also is 25psi even safe on a stock built engine? My thoughts was if i got these is to have power like a tuned stock turbo setup but running less boost to get those power levels like around 16psi. Or does it not work that way?

Geno.. sorry to hear about your truck man! how bad is it? got any pictures? at least the engine is still in tact and didn't pop under so much boost and no head studs.

Yes I was talking about the GT turbos.

No 25 psi on the stock fuel system is not safe at all. We were seeing it climb that high real easy during the tuning. Erick was turning it down over and over . I think that we settled around 20psi or so I cant recall.

I don't have any pictures handy at the moment. I think my wife does on her phone I will check . My truck had 96k miles and the insurance company had it towed and totaled it out so its in the big junkyard in the sky . We were having some serious spark blow out issues when getting it dialed in. Seems that the coils on these are having a hard time keeping up. Also the plugs were gapped down to 18 thousands and we were still getting blow out.

But again these turbos are the ****. I moved on to another company truck and me and the wife are going to do one of 2 things.

1) When the hellcat jeep comes out trade her 2014 in on it

2) Or sell her jeep and get a GTR still trying to decide :/

Can't wait for someone to come out with promising coils, lethal performance has a set but they are unreliable, I might be experiencing similar symptoms that you had. I will throw my tow tune on her till everything gets resolved..

Bigger turbos are cool but the issues with spark blow out and not enough fuel isn't worth it till the market catches up. Hopefully the GT manifold takes care of our fueling issues so we can properly dial this engines well.

The next project will be full E85 conversion so I can dump the methanol and just run clean corn.

I hear ya, Geoff is working on fuel now. He got tired of waiting for others. I have no idea how long it will take or at what stage he is in. Sometimes people get frustrated on the lack of updates with FR. But being in the shop hours on end I can say they work relentless on their projects.

People forget that he is working on bringing the 2015 mustang stuff to market now also. I know this takes a lot of his time. I was one of their first customers and I know as long as what ever I am driving if it has a turbo on it. I will be welcome in their shop

The F150 GT turbos are 54mm wheel. LET turbo has a 58mm wheel and make more power. The LET turbos were designed to take the Ecoboost to 500 RWHP on fuel (no meth injection). This is the limit of both the fuel system and the connecting rods so it is a natural stopping point.
