It can draw from both locations or it also has a plug for the fender should you want to block that off. Or at least my prototype had that option. It s designed to allow air to enter the front and pass over the filters and blow out the wheel well, I will say with mine my air box is ice cold after driving in 40* weather my old afe 2 was still warm to the touch. The air blowing through this chamber keeps the temps down big time in the box. I personally don't see the need for the fender plug but it's an option I think not sure
3.5" -- since you are local we may have some shipping damaged intercoolers you can try, just let me know

hi claytos - sorry for not posting on F150forum, lately definitely not quiet here! Freakoboost articles recieved some updates and Full-Race staged upgrade packages are now available, with options for tuning.
stage 1: intake / tune
stage 2: intake / exhaust / tune (optional intercooler upgrade)
stage 3: intake / exhaust / downpipe (intercooler upgrade recommended)

After chris passed away, we stopped tuning in-house. LET comes to Phoenix, just a short flight from texas. He is the best Ive worked with on this platform and we have solid tunes in place for our hardware - at this point Im confident these tunes are ready for our customers
