I love seeing new tuners getting into the ecoboost game because it means more gains for the consumer, but let's not put the cart before the horse.

Recent run at local track with 34 in tires...

Do the bigger tires really kill 60' by that much? Must make it feel pretty sluggish off the line. Seems like a sub 2 sec 60' should still be possible.

It's extremely sluggish compared to the stock tires. I did get some 1.9 and 2.0 60' times, but I actually ran 14.2 on those runs. I had another 14.1 run with a better 60', but I must have misplaced it.

The tires make a huge difference. I like how the 34's look but I am most likely going to throw my 32's back on and get into the 13's for the quarter mile. If you like power, keep your stock size

I use tq pro app, and I think it's great as a comparison tool between tunes. I know it's close though as I run the same stretch of road that is within feet of being a 1/4 mile guard rail.

I would like to think I am tad quicker than tq pro tells me. I really like the HP and TQ comparisons after mods...they def aren't right but do let you know if it helps or hurts. IE: vented to the atmosphere, I was actually running a little slower, but seeing a little more boost.

Update:

I am working with shawn perfecting his tunes and they just keep getting better and better . He is very proactive and even emails ME with improved tune updates from time to time. I'm sure the guy wont quit until he has absolutely perfected tunes that is the fastest while still being safe and driveable. He might even already be there.

More to come.

Hey all!

So… I volunteered my truck as an R&D truck (I obviously trust the guy) for Shawn to perfect his Ecoboost tune(s). I consistently hear of (and experienced for myself) tunes that have great drivability but not the fastest, the fastest but not usable as a DD, …basically, I have yet to hear ofa tune that is great in every scenario.

Responsiveness, down-low torque, fast boost spool, perfect shifting, smoothness throughout the RPM range, and all of this while being thefastest is what Shawn and I have been working on. He has been revising tunes night and day (often sending tunes until midnight) and we have gone through the following revisions:

Throttle response
Torque
Turbo spool
RPM smoothness (eliminating any lag or surging)
Shifting

Overall drivability WITHOUT sacrificing maximum power has been top of mind. His tunes were amazing from the get-go, but he is striving for absolute perfection with no compromise. SoCal tunes are now even more amazing than they previously were. It is Shawn’s goal to have the absolute best tuning for the Ecoboost.

Anyone that has already purchased a tune, you’ll get the updated versions for free and this goes for future buyers as well. When you get the new tune(s), please share your experience.

I have put my Pirelli’s back on. I don’t know when I will be able to do ¼ times since I am back in San Jose now. Will have dyno numbers as soon as Shawn is back in town! Eventually, I will get a 93 tune and go to Sonoma for track night and get a definitive 1/4 mile time and Im sure it will be impressive

ENJOY!

Good deal, what will throw a monkey wrench in there will be us 13' guys---they seem to be dyno'ing differently.

I can't wait to see some times and numbers.

Are the numbers coming in higher for 13'?
