The miles are all city and only about 80 total highway miles. 13 mpg's seems low to me. Not lighting up the twins either.
To get a realistic comparison you would have to find a stretch of road where you can set the cruise to 45 and then reset the instant mpg page page by holding down the OK button. Try this and see how this compares to how mine did today. I was able to cruise at 45 for 3-4 miles before I hit a stoplight. Good luck, if you haven't had he update I would get it.

Got mine done today and the service rep wanted to know tsb# and what symptoms I was having. Mind you my truck already got the trans bolts replaced. So while they had it on the lift I had them check for any more leakage. Also told them that I was experiencing the shutter under load had a sled in bed and 2 in a trailer.

After it was done the service guy says he didn't see the tsb for my truck. Ended up he mixed up the vin #. Once he ran the correct one he stated he did run the flash into my truck. But the tsb only calls to run it if getting a check engine light, which I never got. The service manager didn't want to cover it bc ford won't pay for warranty work w/o the engine light. But the clerk said I was all set and I went on my way.

I did notice that shifting has changed, accel is a lot smoother. Hoping for the best! So far I can't tell a change in mpg bc I haven't driven malt miles. Will post update.

I've done this before and never got above 22 mpg for an instant measurement while the cruise was set at this speed. I can't wait to do some more driving and get some long term data but so far so good!
Not sure if that instant guage is the most accurate for determining real fuel mileage, you could have just reset it, and your tranny temp isn't even warm?
Take a pic of your trip guage after about 50-100 miles or so.

Had mine done today. At first the service guy said I already had the TSB. When I told them that wasn't possible, he went and talked to the service manager and came back and said they would run the diagnostics on it so I sat in their waiting room. They came back about 50 minutes later and said they applied the TSB. I feel it shifts better and I didn't feel the shudder but I didn't hit many hills on the way home. I'll have to drive it more to get a better feel for it and see if mpg is improving at all.

I get 15.8 right now. I drive around 20 miles to work and back at around 50mph.

I think you missed my point. I'm not saying this is a real world measurement or accurate. What I said is before the update I never saw the mph instant gauge go above 22 mph and I've reset it numerous times at every speed possible while I had my cruise set. In addition the shifting is noticeable smoother in the lower gears than before the update. I'm happy with it!

Thanks bro, you were exactly right. I tried it and it worked, in just a short drive doing this I am up to almost 16 city now and I think that will get better. Cant wait to take it on the highway for a good distance and see what I get.

I may get the update as well. Thanks again!

Is it just me, or did the mileage improvement go away the next day? I got 20 in the city the day of the update. Now I'm back down to 15.
