Default Cold weather...

When I start up my veichle in the morning then go out after 5min of it warming up and put it into drive my truck jerks. Once the truck is warmed up and I put it into drive it doesn't jerk. Why does this happen when it's cold out..? (-25/-40) Celsius

Got to let the truck warm up so it drops down to 500 rpm's then she doesn't jerk , very easy and smooth. I found if you don't wait for it to cycle down it will jerk once you go into drive..Give it more time to warm up..

Could be higher idle speed after initial start up. But most likely it's your tranny "kicking" because of cold internals/fluid.

Jesus...When I saw "Cold weather" I thought "Oh, like under freezing!" Nope, 13 below zero and colder! I think the real question is "Why am I out in this right now??"

Had the same problem this morning after letting the truck sit for 24 hours in the elements. Apparently 15 minutes isn't enough warm up time.

That sounds absolutely miserable...do you leave the truck outside or is it garaged?

I wouldn't want to love in Winnipeg... at least not outside when it's that cold.
Indoors, next to a nice warm fireplace, maybe is a good place to love in Winnipeg. With a good-looking, well-endowed blonde to...

Oh, sorry. I just realized you meant... live. Nevermind, I was getting carried away.
