I know many people with the Ecoboost including myself that have 80,000 plus mileage and have never had a problem. It unfortunate that he got a bad one but you can be unfortunate with GM,Toyota, dodge that's the way it is

Maybe. It still doesn't address the shuddering. And, from Ford applying "the fix" to my truck all they did was install a new CAC, block off half of it with a plastic plate and gimp the horsepower with an ECU flash. Since "the fix" my truck now feels like my old 4.3 S10 did when it towed my 4000# boat. That's not what I paid $40k for. I used to not even feel the load, now, I have to go 50-60% throttle just to get moving. And forget passing.

So, good luck. Unfortunately I'm stuck with this p.o.s. truck until I can at least break even on it trading it in.

"The government estimates around 400,000 F-150 pickups from the 2011 through 2013 model years are involved."

Wow, if there were about 1,000,000 EBs sold, then that's means 40% of trucks could be affected.

I went to a Ford dealership and asked the sales guy about the EB problems. He said "what problems? There are millions of these trucks sold and everyone loves them..."

I told him about the class action lawsuits and how Ford has told the dealers. He still played dumb.

I was polite when I left but thought that if I buy a truck from this dealership I was afraid that was the response I would get if I had to bring it in.

I think they mean there were 400000 sold. They've had 95 reports at the NHTSA so far. There could be many thousands that haven't had any problems with power loss, including mine.
And do you really expect the salesman to tell you there is an issue? I'm not saying it's right, but he's not going to sell many if he owns up to any possible problems and that's his bread and butter.
