Ya its very interesting. However, when did you get the new truck? I'm not sure where you live, but is it possible you just haven't come into a high humidity period, and it will be worse once the fall/winter hit?

Well i hope it works out well also. Im not sure what they did to address the issue, or issues, but the truck runs fine. Maybe my truck had a minor issue but the previous owner knew how to bitch in a way that got results. I would have to find the previous owner to get those answers. It sounds like most guys should try to move into another truck, as you did, becuase they will never be happy with the one they have after these issues. Even if the issue is fixed, some people will still think there is an issue. I guess it varies dealer to dealer on what kind of help you can get. It does suck that you needed an arbitrator to get help. Anyway what ever changes/ repairs Ford did are working and if problems arise ill post it, after I smack my head against a wall.

I got my 2011 EB in May 2011. By 10,000 miles it was my favorite of ALL the vehicles I've owned including my Corvette. Then it broke and the mileage went down rapidly from around 20 to 15 and continued to drop. The dealer drove it around the block and insisted there were no codes and it was just as it should be. I kept fussing with the service department and the mileage kept dropping. This was in August in Kansas, so don't give me the crap about it must be winter gas. Or suddenly my driving habits changed radically.
Then in Feb 2012 with 15,000 miles on it, it did the famous "die while passing a semi" trick. By the time I could get back in the right lane, I could see the black paint around the oncoming "Freightliner" logo was chipped! The most frightened I have ever been in a vehicle.
The dealer drove it around the block and insisted there were no codes and everything was normal. By then it had 17,000 miles and mileage was down to 12 or less. I even showed them the TSB that had come out the day before about the problem. I was creating enough of a scene at the dealers, the sales department came to the rescue and offered me a really good deal on a 2012 EB.
Now my 2012 has 5,000 miles and is my 2nd most favorite vehicle. It isn't quite as peppy as the 2011, but the 2012 is a Platinum instead of just a Lariat is 3.55 instead of 3.73 and has a cattle guard on the front that adds another 400 or 500 pounds. The 2012 is getting around 17 out on the highway and the 2011 was getting over 20. Lifetime average is 16.5 on the 2012 and was 19.2 on the 2011 (at 10,000 miles), by 15,000 miles the 2011 was down to 15.2 and still dropping.
And then the real funny was about a month AFTER I traded the 2011, the same dealer's service department survey folks called me to see if I enjoyed the service the day before fixing all those problems. I asked that all they had done to "my" truck and the list included the TSB that they wouldn't do while I owned the truck. Apparently they had to fix it to get someone to buy it.
I still love the EB and hope they find the real fix before this one breaks. If not, perhaps the sales department will rescue me again with a really good deal on a 2013 or 2014 or whatever it is by the time this one breaks if it does. If my mileage starts dropping suddenly, I'm not waiting for another passing issue before forcing a solution, one way or another.
In the mean time, I'm really enjoying this wonderful truck.

Perfect example, I got a letter last week regarding a class action lawsuit against a company I own stock in. Potential payout to those that actually may have been harmed (stockholders) is 6 cents per share, payout to law firm is 9 million dollars, once again only the lawyers win.
Anyone else think it's odd that this is the OP's first post and his screen-name is "disappointed?"

Well I wish all the ecoboost the best. When it is running right there is nothing like it. I will be closing my ranting mouth since Ford has decided to replace my truck. I will be joining the 5.0 gang and surely missing the ecoboost. Thanks to all for the responses and please put the throttle down on the ecoboost for me.

How did you get them to do it so fast, I thought you just went the lemon road a few days ago
