They said it was either a TSB or a known mis-fire problem and would be fixed pretty easily...

Didn't sound like a big deal but I fell in love with the white one and couldn't go back! LOL

Nice new truck. My 11 ecoboost did the exact same thing about 3 weeks ago. I had about 2,000 miles less than you did. I was throwing a misfire on cylinder #1. New plugs didn't fix it. Threw on a new oem coil pack and all was good again. I wanted to change out the factory plugs anyway. Truck runs better than it has since I bought it last February.

That's good to hear! I think at 30k miles I will do a plug replacement just so it keeps things fresh. I pull a travel trailer during the summer so I want to make sure it runs good the entire time.

Default 2011 Ford F-150 with 5.0 Coyote

Flashing engine light came on yesterday, but then turned off. Today the engine light came on straight away and stayed on. The beast sounded horrible and was shaking real bad both days. Terrible since I just bought in January....
I read the code with the engine light still on and received "Cylinder 1 misfire"...
I've recently had to do a lot of work on this truck so "one more thing" wasn't a big surprise. The previous owner had most of the same work done just before I asked to buy it. The dealership he went to installed a bunch of really cheaply made parts. So hopefully replacing the spark plugs and wires with high quality parts and having it re-timed will bring it back up to par..
Anybody have any additional thoughts?

More than likely a coil pack went bad. I had the same issue 2 weeks ago and had to replace the pack in cylinder one. Wouldn’t you know it I went to pull out today and it shuttered again, another coil went bad. I went ahead and had all of them replaced this time so I don’t have deal with again. The truck is a 2014 ecoboost with 83,000 miles. Once one goes bad the others will likely follow.
