Default Catch Can Education

Ok...........I need information, lots of it

This mocha sludge is everywhere inside the intercooler and pipes

I do not want to drill the infamous weep hole

Who makes these.....UPR, McNally RX, JLT.......anyone else?????

I see that prices range greatly from $125-$400

Dual valves, single valves, mega can, passenger side, driver side, etc.......seems like a ton of options

Clean side separator?

Do I need a can for both the pass side and the driver side?

Thanks for any and all information.........

Then I guess you can spend a couple days reading the catch-can thread. Catch can = $200 to $400, hole is free.

I cleaned this up a little. He doesn't want to drill a weep hole, move along from that point.

Either answer his questions or point him to the catch can thread (which has been done). Don't try to play psychologist with "Why people don't want to do XYZ".

Perhaps he doesn't want his undercarriage covered in oily sludge?

I have heard that brought up in the past and IMO that's a weak reason to not drill the hole. The benefits far outweigh the sight of oil on your lower valance. If it bugs you enough spray it down with some degreaser and some hot water to clean it off.

I usually have the residue on the spoiler. Better than ingesting into the engine.
