Can anyone please identify this noise?

It’s located at the rear passenger side of the engine. Exhaust manifold was thought to be the cause and replaced. Noise remains. Sounds like marbles.

Can anyone hear anything out of the ordinary? Dealership is stumped.

Most likely the engine is shot. This is a common precursor to ecoboost failure.

Sorry about your luck. This is definitely the sound before failure. Google ecoboost marbles in a can. You won't laugh then.

Its not the timing chain/cam phaser/whatever rattle.

thats all been done.

this is a small noise that sounds like an exhaust leak.

The timing chain rattle only lasts for a few seconds after startup anyway...

I have been a member for a while and I have never heard of the marble sound in an ecoboost. Not to say that isn't a thing but its a first for me.

I would imagine you have a exhaust leak at the turbo if the manifolds are gtg.
