Default Buying a used 2013 - what to look for?

Hello. I’m going to look at/buy a 2013 F150 today. Can you guys tell me what things I should be on the lookout for? The truck is a V-8, 2 Wheel drive and has very low miles.

Thanks for your input

V8 is good - check for rusted cab corners, check if rear window defroster is working,

What is the trim package? XLT? FX4? Lariat?

I can say from experience that the 2013 ecoboosts for whatever reason have timing chain issues that are far worse than the others. I haven't heard too much about the 2013 5.0.
The six speed tranny seems to be a good solid unit, no issues at all with the one I had.

The rear window defrost was primarily a problem with the trucks that had sliding rear windows.
The cab corners were rusting from what I understand due to water leaking from the upper rear cab brake light.
Given its not a 4wd you dont have to worry about all the front IWE problems too!

Good Luck! Hope it all works out.
