Default Built 2014 Eco Motor

So, I decided to pull the trigger on a decent built motor before trying to mess with too much power. I just didn't want to be worried about reliability as I explore some pretty remote areas. I'm not going after "big" power, but would love to be able to embarrass a new Raptor here or there.
After months of planning and working with Ryan @ RMB Motorworks, it showed up at my door today.

It doesn't look like much from the outside, but it's a very well thought out build.

- Pocket Port heads, Bronze Guides with OEM Valves
- Closed Deck Block
- Custom Grind Cam for increased lift on the HPFP
- RTR XDI-35 HPFP
- Custom JE Pistons (9.5:1) with custom top and side coatings, Custom ring-set
- Manley I-Beam Rods
- Gen 2 Raptor Crank (micro polished and modified Oil Ports)
- Mustang water Pump w/Billet Pulley

This will be paired with some supporting Mods to make it a complete Package
- Full Race upgraded BW Turbo's
- Full Race Ceramic Coated DP's
- Full Race Cat-Back with Resonator
- Full Race Intercooler with Tial BOV
- SPD Turbo Adaptors
- CR Performance Manifolds
- Mishimoto Hot-side Pipes
- Full Race Radiator
- Full Race Catch Can
- Setrab Remote Mount Oil Cooler
- Improved Racing Remote amount oil Filter housing
- Saudi Raptor transmission cooler
- Circle D Torque Converter (2500-2700 stall triple Disk)
- Upgraded in-tank pump (swap to a return system)
- Radium fuel Regulator
- Radium Fuel Filter
- Custom Dyno Tune

The truck is no light-weight as I run things like a loaded up bed rack system and hidden winch in the front. So this isn't gonna be a 1/4 mile killer. I'm hoping to make 500whp on our crappy gas and may mix a little e85 to see how much more power I can make before the turbo's are done or I run out of fuel.

Once I have some time, I'll put a high-level build thread together as the truck has a few other things done to it.

It’s not quite like building a 289, is it?

Please keep us in the loop, as far as cost/results, and grins.

No, the plumbing, wiring and double over-head cams make this a bit more challenging.

I'll be getting up a post with costs, I'm sure it will send some folks into a tailspin, but whatever.

Got a few things done on the truck today. Motor mounts painted and installed on the new motor, High Pressure fuel line installed, Alternator and belt tensionor bolted on. Just waiting on a few gaskets and bolts, then can really get rocking on this.

The GT Turbo's, Ported Heads and a little Corn should make some decent power. We'll see what it actually put's down. Power isn't the main goal here, but obviously it's gotta be a major factor. I wanted to stick with stock location turbos for a few reasons, but one being daily driveability.

I highly recommend reaching out to Ryan @ RMB Motorworks. He can do mild to wild and the cost is very dependent on what you want. He has been a phenomenal person to work with. He has a background in doing GTR, 2JZ, Maclaren and Trophy truck engines. He also does some really cool stuff with Coyotes.

I can say though, that if you want a basic long block, you'll have something WAY stronger than OEM, for similar $$$

ryan@rmbmotorworks.com is his email. Tell him I sent you (he is VERY familiar with my handle).
PM me if you want his cell.
