Default BOV's

I know these are easy to get to and take off, but once you get them off are they easy to tell if something s wrong, like a tear etc? I'm thinking I may have a torn one, but before throwing $300 at it on new bov's, I'd like to take them off and look at them first. Just want to make sure once I get them off, there's no disassembly of the bov required to see if there's anything wrong that make my truck undrivable

Not exactly what I pictured, seems like a cheap pos could barely get it back in without the pieces falling everywhere. Was gonna check passenger side tonight but it's storming.

While there are no tears, is it possible for the springs to weaken after 190,000 miles affecting performance?
