I looked over everything I could fairly well. I do have a mighty vac tester. Will that work for testing the BOVs? If so, anyone know the test pressures?

Little update on this. I ended up removing the 5* tune and putting it back to stock. From the amount of driving I did today the issue seems to have gone away.

Why would a tune be causing this?

It's very possible. A few people have complained about surging issues with tunes from different vendors.

Did you update the tuner before you re-uploaded the tune after the TSB work? May be worthwhile to try.

I did not update it after the work was done. I certainly can.

Its firmware is uptodate but its downloading 156 files. I just did this a couple months back and it seemed similar. Lots of downloads.

Curious if this will cure it.

I contacted SCT and they said the updates do nothing to custom tunes, they just fix issues with preloaded ones.

Well I had to call as I never heard back via email. I talked to a nice gal and she had me send in a picture of the strategy code. After doing so I waited for a few days and nothing. I emailed again and I got a reply that they were "looking for a needle in the haystack". I said thanks and waited. A day or two later I get an email with a google doc link attached. I click on it and It required authorization from them to open. So I email again and asked for authorization along with inquiring what they found. I get no reply but a notice saying I was authorized to download the file.

I got the tune loaded yesterday and ran some errands. Not enough to really test it out to see if its cured or not. Hopefully its fixed.

As far as 5*'s comms they suck. A simple "hey we changed this" would have been nice. I feel like they think I am a burden and not worth their time.
