If i was really easy on it would it be safe to run you think?
I would agree that most people will never need a new lift pump.
I wouldn't run the 5* tune unless it was rev'd for it. The Borg Warner drop-ins spool WAY faster than the stocks or the 58's and you will potentially overboost or lean out real quick.
If it runs great on stock, I'd ask Mike to make you a rev with 100% stock shifting strategy, since you indicate the issue is with shifting. See if that resolves the problem. I'd still be getting my strategy updated however... that has bitten more than 1 person in the behind.

That is the main concern now with the tune from Mike, boosting way too fast and early for the rpm range. He orignaly thought it was a wastegate issue. Ill be sending him more logs this week and see what he can do. In the mean time i have LET in the works now. Doesnt hurt to have different tunes, ive had so many companies tune with the stock turbos. I like having options

Its fun over here and the guy loves a challenge when tuning.

Ps: whst exactly was leaking on your throttle body?
I went over to the dark side.. and my truck now has a blown engine. Shawn wasn't to polite after I told him his tune popped my block.. in response I received numerous negative emails from him and his trolls.

OP, avoid SSI by all means, not worth it.

Hey guys, just loaded up my 93 P tune from L.e.t and he got it first time!!! Finally i have my truck back i am so happy now. It shifts and drives like stock until you hit the gas and holy moly she goes! The biggest thing i see in the logs between the 2 companies is L.e.t has the wastegates open way more to prevent the overboosting issue i was having with mpt.

After almost 2 months dealing with mpt im a little upset with them. Mike did send me revision 9 today and im going to keep working with him to get that one right. I think we are close though. Revision 8 did fix my sudder issue i was having. I also have a race tune and tow tune to get from mpt hopefully should be quicker with a solid tune in place

Great news man, it must feel good to have it rockn' again. MPT should be able to get your sorted, are they aware of the LET tune?

I think blaming hardware is just a default when they don't know. It happens in many other aspects of the industry too. MPT should be able to figure it out!

In their defense though, it's gotta be hard to troubleshoot a vehicle with logs and over the phone. I know it's hard for my team to do with the stuff we manufacture and support.
