I trust him the most as he has tuned some crazy f150s before including their shop truck which is now making over 600hp!
So they didn't bother telling you they couldn't tune the truck before you bought the tune? You would think after he realized your strategy wasn't supported by sct he would've let you know it was going to be a while before he could get you a proper tune.

I think it's nuts that SCT does not support a strategy for a 13-14 Eco... I think that is more of a tuners excuse for tunes not working correctly.

I'm not a tuning expert and these trucks are way different than the turbo DSMs I have experience with but it doesn't make sense to me that swapping the turbos and running low or stock boost levels would make it run so bad. Don't these computers monitor a ton of parameters and adjust fuel and timing accordingly. I can see where you may run into problems trying to push the engine but low boost should be cake.

On f150ecoboost.net a couple members are running those turbos and one is tuned by MPT. Maybe they can offer some insight.

I wasn't particularly impressed by 5-star after my purchase. They were great leading up to it, but he said some fishy things indicating that his sole interest is to sell me more crap. I don't blame him for that, but I do blame him for being intentionally misleading.

Tune modification calls after purchase were poor. Short, curt answers. Treated like I'm wasting time because I'm not buying anything. The revisions sucked, and the obvious lack of willingness to help had me give up on it.

I'm content now with the original tune he sent [revisions were a joke], but if given the opportunity to do it again, I'd go with someone else.
