that one video was from before but thats what it sounded like but yeah i mean i lost power as if misfiring but before it cleared up but this time it didnt and something let loose no engine light just low oil pressure then poof im anxious to see what they come up with
does the cab have to come off to replace engine?
i think if it is something major im going to raise hell to get new engine instead of repairing it but also try getting extended warranty
off topic - the cop had new dodge with extended warranty that was in garage and still had to pay for parts and the tow truck driver has new chevy diesel in the garage lol no luck either way

Keepin' the lights on!
OP, did you lay down and look under the truck or open the hood? Check the oil dipstick? I mean, if it were myself, I'd be all over that thing even before the tow truck arrived.
I gonna go out on a limb here but I bet you get a new engine. $#!T happens, it is a mass produced engine afterall.
On a side note, I have seen engines that have blown holes through the sides and still be able to rotate the crank, one even still ran ( not smooth of course).

i hope i get new engine idk if itd hurt resale or anything if engine mileage/ year didnt match body i know i personally would stay away from a vehicle that had new engine at 18k miles
my week isnt going well as for work i had samething happen to me on a machine cheap metal cracked and instead of replacing a $300,000 assembly they wanted to replace the cracked piece only other place that it happened was germany first time here in the us so had national tech support and product service engineering on site but its just been my luck something like this happens to me and of course first thing is ask around to see if anyone else had these problems with engine

As for the timing chain theory, it happens. I spent thousands to replace a wonky chain on my VW Passat. Actually, it wasn't the chain, but the guides. And once a guide goes, the chain soon follows and the engine is history. Hope this doesn't become a regular event with the Ecoboost ...

My guides were bad on my old 2002 Ford Explorer V6. They'd get louder as the oil got older so I knew when it was time for an oil change.
I drove that thing like that for years until I got the Explorer in my sig.

I don't' think so because the oil pump is driven off the crank not the timing chain. If the timing chain broke the cams would stop and the engine might continue to spin but it wouldn't run(make power). It would have no time to overheat.
