Blew my engine and replacing with Ford Racing Crate Engine

Mrposi - yes it is a newer engine. I had a chance to get a used one with 33,000 miles but didn't want another 2012 issue. I hope the new one works better in the rain and humidity but I doubt it. So the sensor on the side of the turbo is for the BOV? Thanks for the replies!

13twin - yes. The typical shudder issue and failing on it face. I did drill the hole in the intercooler to address the condensation issue and it helped. But the engine has always been inconsistent. Some days it runs like a bat out of hell and other days it stubbles.

The rain issues are going to be more intercooler related, so you aren't going to see any changes there. Also, I have seen 13's fail in the same manner.

IMHO, the single best thing that you could do after the install is get a aftermarket CAC....it will may not "Stop" the condensation issue....buuuuut it will go a long way to prevent it and keep it at more constant state.

Are you sure that crate engine is for the F150? I only ask as the transverse mounted ecoboost motors found in the Flex/SHO have garrett turbos. T thought all F150s had borg warner turbos regardless of year.

Thanks for the replies. I knew this would get interesting. The crate engine comes complete with everything you need....I think except wiring harness and ecu. It has a electronic gas pedal, tubing, coolant reservoir. You name it. 2 large boxes if stuff. I'm sure the piping and BOV is included also. I called ford before i purchsed and they said it would hook right up.....we will see next week. But then again, they did know anything was wrong with the ecoblewst.

So, is the difference of this being the "racing engine" bigger turbos alone? Apologies if I missed the rest.
