Okay that's your opinion. As everybody has one. I'm going to take a try using it cuz I've heard a lot of good things on other threads about it. A lot of things in life people think are snake oil so when it boils down to it a lot of things are snake oil ethanol gasoline snakeoil regular gasoline could be snake oil additives to gasoline additive to oil so I'm going to take my money and my chance and see how this cleans out my fuel system to see if I get better gas mileage and I will let you know

Fair enough. But you asked for opinions and I gave mine.

They use poor "tests" to "conclude" their products work. One such test is the www.bgfueltest.com site where they take a 2010 Taurus SHO and chronicle the "valve deposit problem". Since I own one of those beasts I was curious.

#1. Early build 2010 SHO's had knock sensor chaffing issues where the wires would chafe against the intake manifold. Resulted in a lot of weird things as the engine would sense knock when there was none as well as not sense knock. It is a known issue. Could account for lots of their "performance problems".

#2. The 2010 SHO is an AWD Car. If you look at their dyno run videos on YouTube
you'll see they use a 2WD dyno (Rear wheel is blocked off on a ramp). Look closely and you can see the AWD system failure light lit up. I don't know about you but any dyno runs in those conditions are invalid. Disconnecting the driveshaft and letting the computer try to figure things out is not a valid way to test performance. You never know what the computer is doing in that circumstance.
Look here for a picture of a 4WD dyno: http://dyno.com.au/index.php/dynotechmenu/dynotech4wd
The place they used (Wichita Dyno) does not even offer AWD dyno testing (http://wichitadyno.com

#3. They never post the dyno runs. Only say that they "got xxx" HP/TQ. Well if you see #2 the whole run was invalid. They state they ran 40 dyno runs and only provide a small sampling. Why? Was performance that varied?

I'd suggest patronizing a company that does not use dishonest "testing" to promote their products.

You have all valid points. However that's for a show. I have a 2011 at 6:40 EcoBoost 3.5 liter. And I'm not looking for performance I'm looking to get the motor clean so horsepower does not mean anything to me right now clean clean then I will turn on my truck however I've never had my diet my truck down the road and it has a tune in a cold air intake at this time I am in an exhaust I do understand your point but its for two totally different vehicles with you totally different drive lines may be the same motor however compression is probably different in each motor

So you asked for everyone's opinion then vehemently chop each person down to your liking? Sounds about right..

I'd not trust a company that's less than truthful with testing to not fudge the #'s with products. I think the best method to clean will still be the manual method as you can clean until they are clean vs popping a mist in there and hoping for the best.

The base architecture is the same - SHO vs F150. There are differences but I think your desire for cleaning the same procedures follow for both.

I agree, but what company doesn't fudge numbers. Give example cold air intake give example tuners give example exhaust give examples throttle body spacers all say you get horsepower and I do agree paying 600 800 to take the everything apart and clean it manually is the best way however I'm going to try and I'll report what I get and we can go from there if that's okay with the thread since it's my money in my paycheck also I only have 40 k on the truck so it can't be that built up

Ford has said any chemical strong enough to help EB intake valves and injected into the intake system will damage the Cats and any large pieces that might come off will lodge in them and burn and burn getting very hot and damage it. Not recommended for the EB at all. Carbon gets quite hot as it burns with sufficient oxygen, hot enough to cut steel easily.
