I use Amsoil 0W30 and and a FL500s and change at 6000 miles 10000 Kms . If I wasn't an Amsoil dealer I would use pen plat H06.

Mobil 1 5W-30 w/ Mobil 1 M1-212 filter whenever the truck tells me it's time to change it. The oil doesn't need to be changed every 5k miles. If you don't believe me then take a sample of your oil after you change it and send it in for analysis.

Amsoil signature series 5w-30. Amsoil filter.

The motorcraft is obviously suggested, presently seeing if the lab analysis is different on a different filter.

Motorcraft filter, Pennzoil Platinum 5-30, and Fumoto Drain Valve.

Had this on my 2011 EB and changed the oil every 6k miles in line with tire rotation. Never an issue with almost 40k miles when traded in.

I intend to do the same with my new 2013 Platinum EB as well.

Default Oil Change

My 2012 gets Quaker State Filters and Wally's finest 5-30 full syn. I change at 70 to 80 % oil life unless I am towing then more often. Check out http://www.bobistheoilguy.com/ before flaming me for using Walmart oil. You Mobil one and Amzoil or Royal Purple guy's can support the economy. As for me, I will use the cheapest quality oil and more keep money in my pocket.

I use the Oil Life feature, but was surprised that long distance towing didn't shorten the life as much as I thought it would. Typically, it targets about 10K intervals (as opposed to my dealer attempts to get me in at 3K), but I started a 7K trip with fresh oil and towed 6K of that. I still had 20% oil life when I returned but changed the oil soon after. I used about a quart for the trip.

There have been a lot of UOA's posted for the ecoboost. Most of them performed from blackstone. All of them showing some level of fuel dilution and shearing down to a 5w-20 within 5k miles. All you need to do is google the following "ecoboost UOA site:bobistheoilguy.com". It sounds like your own ecoboost tests differ from what almost everyone else sees.

I've read reviews on the website and most of the results say to try 8k mile oil change intervals.
